While there is still several weeks until performance week arrives, please review the following information and make sure you have all the necessary items for your child.

Beginning on the first night of Dress Rehearsal cast members will need to have appropriate undergarments, shoes, and hair when they arrive at the theater.

Please find your role(s) below and begin collecting your costume pieces early. Practice hair and makeup before dress rehearsal so you know how to do it when the time comes.

Undergarments are necessary because everybody may change costumes in a large, public, co-ed dressing room. Please, no midriffs.
Fitted undergarments help to ensure nothing is bulky and seen underneath the costume.

Black shoes need to be completely black. Boys should have black socks.
Light stage makeup means blush, lipstick, mascara, foundation optional. Please do not send extra makeup with your child.
Children might want a sweater/sweatshirt to wear as they come and go from the theater.

K-3 Ensemble (Lost Children): light colored tank top, light colored shorts, black shoes (boys – black socks), blush on cheeks, childish hairstyles like low, messy pigtails or ponytails.

4-6 Ensemble (Pirates): light-colored tank top, light-colored shorts, black shoes, (boys-black socks), blush on cheeks, low ponytail.

Peter Pan: green t-shirt and shorts, green tights, black shoes

Wendy: white or pink t-shirt and shorts, ballet shoes, light stage makeup, hair: half up and curled

John: light colored t-shirt, light colored shorts, black dress shoes

Michael: red t-shirt and shorts, black shoes

Mr. Darling: light colored tank top, light colored shorts, black shoes

Mrs. Darling: light-colored tank top and shorts, beige tights, black jazz shoes, light stage makeup, double french braids to fit under wig cap.

Tinkerbell: light colored tank top, light colored shorts, black shoes, hair and makeup to be done by staff

Liza: light colored tank top, light colored shorts, black shoes, light stage makeup

Nana: light colored tank top, light colored shorts, black shoes, light stage makeup

Captain Hook: dark-colored t-shirt and shorts, black shoes and socks, makeup to be done by staff

Tiger Lily: Light colored tank top and shorts, or beige leotard, beige tights, tan jazz shoes, light stage makeup, 2 braids or french braids

Performance Week Is Coming…Be Prepared

Curtis Theater in Brea

Check the calendar for your child’s schedule, different roles may have to arrive at different times.
Park in underground parking for the Curtis Theater and walk your child to the loading dock to check them in, please be on time and wait with your child, DO NOT DROP OFF YOUR CHILD, you MUST walk them in for safety reasons.
Send your child with a backpack with water, homework, books, activities, or simple games that are quiet, there will be down-time for most cast members
NO Food or drinks other than water
NO Electronics
Make sure anything they bring is labeled with their name
Cast members can be picked up by an adult at the front door of the theater at dismissal, please be on time
Make sure kids are well fed and well rested before they arrive
Before leaving home review appropriate theater behavior: listen to adults, be polite and helpful, use quiet “library voices” at all times, do your best on stage….and “break-a-leg”!

Tech Rehearsal

All cast members will be seated in the audience while not on stage, and will be able to view some of the play as it is rehearsed. Most cast members will receive a costume to take home at the end of the night.

Send your child in comfortable clothes, with a jacket in case the theater is cold
Do NOT send your child in costume undergarments

Dress Rehearsal & Performances

All cast members will be backstage in dressing rooms when not on stage.

Send your child wearing costume undergarments and costume (if they received one), with any additional costume items in their backpack
Cast members should arrive with hair and makeup complete for their role, as specified here
